There are many people frantically searching for the expected VITEEE(Pronounced as “WITTY”) cutoff.People are asking me if they’ll get into VIT or not.It is very difficult to predict something like this due to the marking scheme.There is no clear figure available for last years cutoff either.Some people say that in VITEEE 2007 the topper scored 105.Different people claim different numbers.Frankly speaking,you will not find the cutoff anywhere.But I have a solution to this which will give you an idea of where you stand.
Here’s the solution
I advise everyone who reads this post to post a comment and write your expected marks in it.Then Bookmark this page and visit it in a few hours and compare your marks with others marks.This way you will get an approximate idea of where you stand.Perhaps we can generalize these marks to get an approximate idea of the VITEEE 2008 cut-off.

Navneeth-Right,you’ll get mech.VIT has a dual degree program,mentioned in its brochure.If you perform well,you can go for an additional B.Tech degree in IT.

Chin as i have said earlier VIT is for fool students and u dont seem to be a fool.
U got 210 and thats good to land u and some IIT but probably u will not get a good branch.
Work hard in AIEEE and BITS as u know what ur potential really is.

Aman Dahiya-Right.Read the information brochure.Here’s the counseling procedure.The brochure mentions only 3 rounds in which the top 6000 are called in groups of 2000.You get to select the course you want but it is based on availability and not on cutoff.

Hritik-Definitely you can hope to get a good course but you might not get the best ones.

sindhur-77 is good for mech and probably electrical and civil too.
ash-72 can get you a decent stream in VIT.

Rohit-Was busy with something else.Don’t call me Sir,I too took AIEEE yesterday.Your AIEEE score is insufficient so you have just 2 options-VIT and IIT.You should prefer IIT unless or until you get a very horrible course.You can get CS in VIT.
sindhur-Your IIT and AIEEE scores are insufficient.The only place you can go is VIT.

Anon-70+ is good enough for VIT.I’m pretty sure about that.You can’t do anything about it anyways.So don’t think too much about the end result.
Rohit-The colleges which admit students through Extended Merit List of JEE are not up to the mark.I have no idea about uptu.About VIT,I would say,it is safe to join.If you perform well and keep your GPA high,you will definitely get a good placement.

Karan-After the counseling for top 6000 is over,you will be called for counseling.
Mohan-Yes you can get into NITs as your rank might be in the top 10,000.
The lowest cutoff is generally of Mechanical as there are lots of seats.
