There are many people frantically searching for the expected VITEEE(Pronounced as “WITTY”) cutoff.People are asking me if they’ll get into VIT or not.It is very difficult to predict something like this due to the marking scheme.There is no clear figure available for last years cutoff either.Some people say that in VITEEE 2007 the topper scored 105.Different people claim different numbers.Frankly speaking,you will not find the cutoff anywhere.But I have a solution to this which will give you an idea of where you stand.
Here’s the solution
I advise everyone who reads this post to post a comment and write your expected marks in it.Then Bookmark this page and visit it in a few hours and compare your marks with others marks.This way you will get an approximate idea of where you stand.Perhaps we can generalize these marks to get an approximate idea of the VITEEE 2008 cut-off.

Harsh-not in the top 6000 but you’ll get a decent course
Viac Productions-Yes its true about last year but this year paper was tougher.
Vishal-56,you’ll get some course in VIT as many have VIT as their last option.
Prashant-65 will be good enough for mech
agam-76 is good.I’m sure that the ans to diazotization and gas evolced is correct.
jayant-U’ll get a decent stream
haria-60 is good for bio courses.I reckon you’ll get the course of your choice.

well,for nearly 80 i meant a good rank i.e. just inside the top 6000.
for 76, I made a mistake while reading marks,it should be 6000-7000 because there was no negative marking and many people are getting 70s.

Simi-For now,consider all answers to be correct and concentrate on AIEEE.
Amit-You’ll get 6000-8000.
Chin-You might top.You’re in the top 1000 for sure.Although I feel you can make it to the top 100 as well.You’ll get Computer Sc for sure.
John-Mech has many seats so you have a fair chance of getting it.
Aman-Your rank is likely to be in the range of 6000-7000.You will be called for counseling but after the first 3 batches.
as you have said i will get Cs for sure,so should i choose VIT or IIT since i am getting near abt 210 in IIT

This is Ankit Kansal u might get selected in Manipal but still if u can get gud nits than prefer Nits.
U should not go to VIT as it have a huge placement problem and many other problems.
U might also get around 6000 rank in IIT too.
I shld say
1) Take IIT if u can get
2) NITs
3) Manipal
4) VIT(in which u must not go)
Qazi-nice blog.62 might not be good enough for comp or IT.
Mohan-Your rank is unpredictable.It will be around 15000-20000.Last year marks upto 48 were called for counseling.So you can be called for counseling but not on the scheduled date.
Atley-6000-7000 rank.Most probably any branch except computer sc.
Siddharth and Raipuria-Mech is possible as there are too many seats.
Aditya-Mech is possible,Comp-I don’t think so.

Well,, in the viteee prospectus it says that courses are subject to availability… So can there arise such a situation when the computer science and IT thing as well the dual degree will get finished by the time I am called for counselling.. 🙂 Well i am supposing I ‘Am’ called for counselling!!

gettn only 210 in JEE is sad …since u seem to b a good student havn scored 102 in VIT….Well that happens as Vit is a diffrnt EXAM…mysely gettn 243 in JEE abd 81 in VIT…
Acc. 2 me u wont get a good branch in IIT ….ARND 3700 rank and in VIT u will definetly crack top 150 rank…However VIT is not such a gr8 college and its better if u work very hard in Aieee and BITS….
BITS is very prestigous and work hard for that esp…
Now perform acc. 2 ur potential….

I m getting around 60 in VIT this time… My friend who got 57 in Vit previous yr got a rank under 20000 and is in VIT rght now… VIT call students for counselling upto the rank 18000 and more.. Thats what i hv heard.. I m sure about it..So students getting above 70 can be relaxed as they r going thru… Even the ones with 60 and above hv a great chance…
HEY CHIN Its true that u can change ur branch if u do well!!!
My teacher at BANSAL CLASSES told our batch that it is extrmly tough to do that …next 2 impossible…
Although IIT has introduced 7 norms its college ….thru which it can b done….however it has not got any easier….
