The format of the paper changed this year.There were 105 questions in all,35 each of Physics,Chemistry and Maths.The questions carried 3 marks as usual and there was negative marking of -1 mark per wrong question.The paper was really simple but had Assertion Reason type questions which were unexpected.
According to Career Launcher,a score of 60-65 in Maths,55-60 in Physics and 65-70 in Chemistry can be called an excellent score.All the best for the result.You can also post your marks in a comment to compare with others.

i got 330 in bitsat and secured 1139(AIR) and 171(state) in ai3e.
i am really confused as to go for bits pilani where i will get only chem or mech OR for cse/ece in the best nits like trichy,warangal, surathkal OR cs in IIIT-H.
as per rankings bits stands above all these colleges but what abt branch??
also i came to know that after the top iits, IIIT-H has the best cs ,both in faculty and placements but i am doubtfull abt the infrastructure .

In that link you gave, it seems like the last year BITS goa cut off was somewhere in the 270's. I'm a bit confused here. Can you please tell me how you calculated the last year cut off to be 250? Cos if it was that low and if its going to be getting lower, I'll be very very happy.
By the way, I got 249. Can you please tell me what courses I'm likely to get?
Yet the list of participating institues is not finalized, how AIEEE has announced the cut-off rank for eligibility for central conselling?
hey let me help all those ppl who have an AIEEE Rank of about 8000 to 14000.
u ppl can get into good colgs like:-
Thapar
J.P.Noida
DAIICT
(also i must warn u that these 3 colgs are definitely better than VIT, Manipal, IP or JSS)....so dont waste ur time thinking about them..!!!
and NIT'S depending on ur state rank .
IIT EXTENDED:- Well last year I was in IIT Extended 2 n i must say that unless and until u want to be professor somewhere or wanna do research work.......dont even think about IIT Extended.
these cant match the lives of successful computer engineers living in metropolitans and going abroad from time to time.
SO THINK BIG N THEN MAKE THE DESCISION.....!!!!

Last year the closing rank in NIT Kurukshetra for OBC's in the first counseling was around 28,000.Your rank is exprected to be around 50,000.You might not be able to make it in the first counseling but you have a good chance in the second counseling according to last year's figures.

a. Will I get Electical/ Mech./Civil in MNIT.
b. Will I get ECE/Elec./Mech/Civil in Kurukshetra/Nagpur/Bhopal or good NITs.
2. last yr. my BITSAT score was 217. This yr. I'm again appearing in BITSAT09 in June. Is there any preference by BITS in selecting freshers only. Pl. let me know yr. valuable comments.

With 242,you can get a rank around 7000 or 8000.
According to last year's trend,you can easily get Civil and might get Mech./Civil in MNIT.
You can also get ECE/Elec/Mech/Civil in a good NIT.
There is no such preference in selecting freshers only in BITS.

Your rank should be around 75,000.You can't expect good NITs.You might get other colleges which admit students through AIEEE.

You AIR will be around 75,000.Since you are from Haryana and are an OBC candidate,you can get into NIT Kurukshetra but most probably not in the first counseling.

You can get into a good govt college but you will not get a good branch.

Last year's cutoff in NIT Surat for gujarat students was a rank of 27181.This year it would translate to a cut off of around 180 marks.

You can get a branch like Metallurgy in any NIT except the top few.
