The AIEEE solutions are out.You would have calculated your marks by now.If you haven't done so,you can do so by visiting my post-Download AIEEE 2008 Solutions.You must be wondering what marks would be good enough to get a rank under 10000.The cut-off will be around 180/315 for a rank under 10000.
The format of the paper changed this year.There were 105 questions in all,35 each of Physics,Chemistry and Maths.The questions carried 3 marks as usual and there was negative marking of -1 mark per wrong question.The paper was really simple but had Assertion Reason type questions which were unexpected.
According to Career Launcher,a score of 60-65 in Maths,55-60 in Physics and 65-70 in Chemistry can be called an excellent score.All the best for the result.You can also post your marks in a comment to compare with others.

sonu-137 is good,you'll get a rank of 25000 but what happened is really sad.The maths section was pretty easy.I scored 85 in it.
I think you should concentrate on BITSAT and forget about AIEEE.Your JEE AND VITEEE scores are good enough.Basically you need to realize that you can't do anything about AIEEE now.Tell your parents,they'll understand.
Anon-86 can get you an AIR of around 70000,no idea about the counseling though.

WELL IMP. POINTS ...
1. U will get very less space to work wid..only a small phone diary types..so keep that in mind..
2. Look out for biomelocules, chem in everyday life,from NCERT..I was asked the structure of penicillin..learn imp. drugs name..
3. Physics is more of anylaticalbased..learn all values of universal constants..they will not give u any extra data..i had forgotten value of G
4. MATHS is quiet tough..depends on ur day really
5. English is of good level..Learn as many new words as u can ..TENSES,VOICES etc..
6. Logical reasoning is easy.
7. in ORGANIC remember all name reactions(no mechanism required)
overall ..this was my experience ..the pattern goes this way...Good luck..

Anon-Ranks below 10,000 are generally not considered but as you said drop-out seats will be available.Well,honestly 86 is too low but you never know you might have a chance.

Akoo-Thanks.You've said that you want CS or IT.Now I would personally say VIT would be better.With a score of 190,if you get a CS or electrical seat in a good NIT which is pretty improbable,you should join NIT.There are a few NITs which are rated higher than VIT.If you can't get into those NITs,definitely VIT is the right place for you.
Achyuth Snjay-231 is a decent score.Last year AIEEE was of 360 marks and had a different pattern.Do keep that in mind.You can get into BITS Pilani.
Abhijeet-145 can get you an AIR of 20,000.Your chances are slim.I can't predict anything about state ranks.

hi Believe me ...i had bought it last year..it didnt prove to b of any help...dont b distressed and atleast solve it if u dont have any other material to do....u may do question banks of ur institutes or NCERT(really helpful)...do the CD u have got wid book for english and do previous year paper given in that book.......
focus on theorotical portions in chemistry and analytical ability in physics...
Also when r u giving the exam..the book is quiet big...hope thet helps

@sonu-I'm from Delhi and my target is NSIT as there is 85% reservation for Delhi students.
@Dhruv-I too am a student,who gave JEE this year for the first time.The state quota system is different in every state.
