Subscribe Feed (RSS)The AIEEE solutions are out.You would have calculated your marks by now.If you haven't done so,you can do so by visiting my post-Download AIEEE 2008 Solutions.You must be wondering what marks would be good enough to get a rank under 10000.The cut-off will be around 180/315 for a rank under 10000.
The format of the paper changed this year.There were 105 questions in all,35 each of Physics,Chemistry and Maths.The questions carried 3 marks as usual and there was negative marking of -1 mark per wrong question.The paper was really simple but had Assertion Reason type questions which were unexpected.
According to Career Launcher,a score of 60-65 in Maths,55-60 in Physics and 65-70 in Chemistry can be called an excellent score.All the best for the result.You can also post your marks in a comment to compare with others.

sir igot 22000 air, cat rank 17000,state rajasthan rank3100,cat rank 2400,sir iwant electro or it can i get it up to second councelling in nits.is is safe to stay for second councelling or i should repeat for nxt yr
with this rank u can get a far better college than nit silchar....nit silchar doesn't sand even in top 50 colleges. The number of seats through aieee has been increased to 24000 this time being 18000 last year...so expect a good college with this rank...hope u find a better nit like durgapur, or kurukshetra,tc...cheers!!!

my state ranking is 10000 and state category ranking is 727
i am in west bengal..

My sister got 141/432 in AIEE2009 architecture exam(paper 2).
she has an all India rank of 16K and open category rank of 12K. and in state rank(MAHARASHTRA)she got 1600 and open category ranking 1061. What are the possibilities for her to get in to any good NITs for architecture (preferably NIT nagpur/calicut/trichy)?
Could you please give me some suggestions

I have got an all India rank of 6856 and state rank 491 (Maharashtra). He wishes to study Electronics and Communications or Electrical. Can I hope to get Trichy, Suratkal, Warangal or Calicut? Further, how does NIT Nagpur fare compared to others? I do not wish to loose out on other NITs by filling up NIT Nagpur. Please advise.

Your state of eligibility is the one from which you have passed your 12th board exam. Taking birth in Punjab can't help you.
With a rank of 116120, you are in open category, you can't get any NIT or IIIT. Maybe you can get Lovely Professional University whicj happens to be in Punjab.

A rank of around 12,000 to 15,000 should get you Civil in MANIT Bhopal.
