I've been looking forward to the second season of the IPL ever since the end of the thrilling first season.I had plans of going to watch a few matches. But darn, the elections are clashing with the IPL and the second season of the IPL will be held abroad.Currently England and South Africa are the top contenders to host the IPL.The timings of the matches will be 4pm IST and 8pm IST to suite the Indian audience. This makes it more probable for England to host the IPL.So lets see what happens.

India Win Border Gavaskar Trophy
November 10th, 2008 by Naman Bagga | No Comments | Filed in CricketIndia have regained the Border Gavaskar Trophy by defeating Australia by 172 runs in the fourth test at Nagpur.India have won the series 2-0.This is the first time in seven years that Australia haven't won a single test match in a bilateral test series and this is their most comprehensive defeat since 1983.I feel that it was a result of the combined effort of the entire team.Jason Krejza was adjudged the Man of the Match for his excellent bowling performance in the match.Ishant Sharma won the Man of the Series award. This test was Saurav Ganguly's last one as he announced his retirement from international cricket.Dhoni allowed him to captain the team for the last few overs. This was a really nice gesture and I feel that Ganguly deserved it.
India have climbed to 2nd spot in the ICC test rankings as a result of this win.I hope to see India at the top soon.

Canadian Crash Prix
June 8th, 2008 by Naman Bagga | 1 Comment | Filed in Formula 1, VideosThe 2008 Canadian Grand Prix was an incident filled race.Just 13 out of 20 drivers managed to finish the race.Robert Kubica and BMW won their first Grand Prix. Here's what Robert Kubica managed to do last time he was in Canada-
Last time around,he left the circuit on a stretcher, with broken legs. This time,he managed to leave with a trophy and the taste of Champagne in his mouth.Wondering what happened to Hamilton and Raikkonen?Read on..
This race also raised a question on the rule which says that the pit lane exit is to be closed during the first lap behind the Safety Car.This what Hamilton managed to do in the pits while driving within the pit lane speed limit of 100km/h-
One silly rule ruined the race for 2 top drivers.Hamilton has himself to blame but what about Raikkonen?I feel that this rule is silly and should be scrapped off at least for circuits like Montreal and Magny Cours which don't have wide and long pit lanes.
