The Squeakquel on DVD and Blu-ray

April 10th, 2010 by Naman Bagga | No Comments | Filed in Movies

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Alvin and the Chipmunks. All opinions are 100% mine.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download. Alvin and the chipmunks is one of my favorite animated movies (Live action/CGI to be precise). What I love about live action/CGI is that the combination of the real world with animation makes the movie more realistic. Three cute, naughty little chipmunks singing songs reminds me of my childhood. The sequel of the movie (the squeakquel as they call it) was released in December 2009. Just in case you missed this must watch family movie, now that its out on home media, you can grab it and add it to your home collection. Its a movie that everyone right from kids to their parents will enjoy watching.

Alvin and the Chipmunks- The squeakquel also comes in a Double DVD Pack that includes "The Squeak Along" Bonus Disc, with more music, mayhem and all-new sing-alongs. Double the fun, at the price of one. You can buy it now on Amazon and watch it in the in-home experience.

Add Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel to your home collection and get some More Munk Mayhem. It really is worth all the space it would occupy on your rack and all the money it deducts from your wallet.

Plans for the sem break

December 17th, 2009 by Naman Bagga | 1 Comment | Filed in General, MANIT Bhopal, Movies

I'm halfway through my semester break so this is not really the ideal time for a post like this but still, here's a short description of my plans for the semester break. Its almost been a month since the third semester ended. I stayed in Bhopal till 26th November to check my marks, which were satisfactory. I'm expecting a SGPA between 7.5 and 8 which would be an improvement over the last 2 semesters. I'm eagerly waiting for the result which should be out pretty soon.

After all the hard work done to convert 79s to 81s, finally it was time to go home after 5 weeks of staying in Bhopal which also happens to be my longest stay ever in Bhopal. Somehow, I always manage to visit Delhi once a month. I don't see that happening too often in the future though. So for the last 20 days I've been enjoying my stay at home. Homemade food tastes heavenly after 5 weeks of having mess food, canteen food and towards the end of it, the paranthas at main station with my buddy Shilpesh. I'm enjoying the number options of fast food joints I have in Delhi. Apart from eating, and sleeping, I've been watching quite a few movies (no I'm not a fan of the tubelight series and am not talking about full moons or crescents) . I just love the number of multiplexes I have to chose from and how I can book my movie tickets very conveniently online. Speaking of movies, I watched 2012 in Bhopal(Hindi dubbed :D ). The Hindi dialogues made that boring movie a bit interesting and gave me reasons to LMAO at every dialogue. You must read this review of the movie by Ankur, my views are very similar.

Here are some random updates about my life at home. As usual, I've been blogging a lot more frequently at home and that's probably I'm writing this post. I got a wireless router at home, got a beetel router through Airtel because that turned out to be a better option than buying one. For a one time charge of Rs 1500, I can do anything I want with the router and get unlimited replacements from Airtel if anything gets messed up. Quite a few Airtel engineers that handle my locality know me too(kinda helps at times). My PC(yes, the one I used to use before I got myself a laptop) turned 9 and probably will get some rest soon. Its been serving my family for over 9 years and its still usable despite of the fact that the only changes I've done to it is replaced a dead 128 MB SD RAM module with a 256 MB one and eventually 512 MB and replaced the CD ROM drive with CD-writer DVD Combo drive. Buying a new PC is something that is planned for this semester break and I shall be doing it soon.

I'll be going to Bombay Mumbai for a week in 2 days to attend Mood Indigo, the cultural fest of IIT Bombay. That would be one week of separation from my laptop, its always been with me ever since I bought it. I'll have my phone for internet access as always :) . I'll be back in Delhi by 26th December. Nothing great planned for the rest of the sem break yet. College reopens in the 2nd week of January. I'll spend my time at home in Delhi till then.

Download Dragonball Z Episodes

January 3rd, 2009 by Naman Bagga | 3 Comments | Filed in Movies, Videos

I'm not one of those people who are crazy about anime but I do know some places where you can watch anime for free.I don't really like the typical Cardcaptor Sakura type of anime. The only anime series which I've found interesting is the Dragonball series. It is very popular in India and many people ask me about websites where they can download the episodes. The most popular is Dragonball Z as kids can easily watch it on Cartoon Network. However, the episodes start repeating after a certain number.

If you are one of those people who are desperately looking for the episodes,I have a website for you.DBZ-Media.nl is the perfect place for Dragonball Z and Naruto episodes.

You can download Dragonball,Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT episodes and movies here. They've got all the stuff you might be looking for.

You can download Naruto episodes from this page.

The videos are in rmvb format and are of 30 MB each. You will need Real Player to view these episodes. If you don't have real player, you can download it from these links-
Download Real Player-
For Windows
For Linux

Update:The website mentioned above has protected the links using Crypt-It.Cryptload is required to download the files.Cryptload does not support Linux yet so I've found a RapidShare link list that has all the episodes. You can use that to download all 276 episodes of DBZ.

Aamir:Movie Review

July 20th, 2008 by Naman Bagga | 2 Comments | Filed in Movies

30x40 3 Aamir:Movie Review

Cast-Rajeev Khandelwal
My Rating-4.4/5

Aamir is a movie which defies the basic conception related to a bollywood movie. This movie has no heroine.Neither does the protagonist sing songs and run around trees. The protagonist is a common man and not a super hero. The story is basically about a doctor named Aamir Ali who returns to India from London and gets into serious trouble.Generally,in bollywood movies the protagonist ends up beating up the villain even if he's a terrorist and the world's a better place. But this being the story of a common man,is very different.

The movie basically deals with religious fundamentalism.Aamir is threatened to work for some Muslim fundamentalists. He discovers a different Mumbai with small dingy lanes even Mumbai residents wouldn't have seen.He has a really tough time following their instructions but eventually does everything. He ends up making a really noble decision in the end.

The movie is a short movie, just about some 100 minutes long.Rajeev Khandelwal's acting skills are excellent.I'll give him 5/5 for his acting.Overall, the movie is not really meant for the masses,it is for the thinking minority. So if you have a good taste,as far as movies are concerned, you should watch it.
