In my last post, I mentioned that I placed an order for my laptop. Zeroing in on a particular model was a tough choice to make, indeed. Some manufacturers like Dell have good websites but others make it tough to compare laptops. Thankfully I knew I site where I could Compare Laptops easily.

ConsumerMate.com is a new service launched by the 9.9 Media group. It is currently aimed at helping prospective laptop buyers zero in on a particular model using a comparison tool. They have about 300 laptops in their listing which includes all major brands. Users can select the brands they are interested in and use the slider tool to set the range of price, weight and screen size. At every step, the tools tells you the number of options you have. You can then compare the shortlisted laptops on specifications and price. You may also use the Laptop Guru mode which has a wizard to shortlist laptops based on your needs.

Nobody likes paying more than what a laptop is worth. Most websites just mention the MRPs of different models but ConsumerMate provides up to date street prices for all the models. They even have a service called Ask us where you can ask for the street price of a model and dealer information in your city. You can even get some discounts on laptops through the Hot Deals section.

When you buy a laptop, price is not the only factor to consider. After all, you’ll be using the laptop for quite some time and performance is definitely an important factor. ConsumerMate provides Expert Ratings powered by Digit test center which you can use to check the ratings of different models.

To summarize in short, if you are thinking about buying a laptop, head to ConsumerMate to Compare Laptops.
