Now about the ranks and cutoffs,If your ranks is under 6000 you will most probably get the branch of your choice in the first counseling or will eventually slide to it.If your rank is between 6000 and 9000 you will get into VIT and get a good branch.If your rank is more than 9000,you won’t have many choices of branches but you can get into VIT through the later stages of the VIT counseling.
Sir I got 8278 rank in VITEEE 09 ,will I get admission for Mechanical,Electrical,Computer science or IT.(Free seat,without donation).

would be difficult for you to get mech, elec and cs but you’ll be surely getting IT according to last year’s cutoff’s.One of my friends got it at 9000+ rank.

hey udit, at your rank you’ll surely get chemical whether in the first or later counsellings. You even have a chance for IT if thats your field of interest.
And as far as AIEEE is concerned 20000 rank could land you up in a good NIT but you’ll have to compromise with the branch.

You’ll get any branch you desire except for one or two of the bio branches maybe.
See, mechanical is a branch which has been around for a very long time but these core branches like mech and energy engg.or even mechatronics have been introduced lately. These branches include a lot of research work and could be called as super-specialization branches. Opt for them only if you are ready for the hard work.

Dude, BIT is better than any NIT and the top NIT’s are better than VIT.
So if you are getting BIT then drop your idea of joining VIT or any of the NIT’s.
However if you are not getting a branch of your choice at BIT then do try for NIT’s.

see its hard to tell whether you’ll be getting any bio courses or not because the cut-off ranks for these courses were around 4500 last year. So you can give it a try at the counselling. On the other hand you’ll easily get any non-bio course.
Anyway, if you are interested in bioinformatics and have appeared for AIEEE then you could also try for NIT Bhopal which is the lone NIT with a B.Tech degree course in this stream.

But don’t go for Chemical at VIT. Instead try for it in IIT’s or top NIT’s.

I’m afraid they are not. Still, it depends on the branch you opt for. Otherwise VIT is better than the aforementioned colleges.

You’ll get most of the top branches.
As for ECE, the last year’s cutoff rank was about 6500 so nothing can be said for sure.

You have slim chances of getting Chemial or Civil as they are the last branches which are filled up during counselling.

They will return the documents if you withdraw or ask for the documents.Most colleges do so.You should confirm that with VIT.

Dude, the best choice would be AIEEE.
At a score of 155 in Manipal you’ll get a rank around 1300(according to the last year’s score-rank projections)

Get in touch with VIT if anything can be done about it. Bad luck, the prospectus must have had the counseling dates you should have selected your BITSAT date more carefully.
