This year 10035 candidates have qualified in the Merit list to fill 8295 seats. A total of 384977 candidates had appeared in IIT JEE 2009. Nitin Jain from the IIT Delhi Zone has topped this year. If you've qualified in the Merit List, congrats

I have no idea about this one. You should consider these colleges only if you intend to go into research.
