The movie is a perfect fusion of a thriller and a comedy.Akshay Kumar's presence in the movie makes it obvious that the movie has to have a few really funny scenes.The movie is not too scary and I don't see any problem if kids watch this movie.

Shiney Ahuja hardly has a part to play in the movie.Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are in lead role.Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav have done justice to their roles.Amisha Patel also did a decent job in the movie.

The only flaw I see in the movie is that at times the scenes which were meant to be scary end up to be funny which is good sometimes but unsuitable other times.The music of the movie is great and the controversial song-'Hare Krishna,Hare Ram' is very popular among the youth.

The last song of the movie is worth appreciating.It is perhaps the scariest part of the movie.Vidya Balan has done an excellent job in the song.The movie was made in south Indian languages before it was made in Hindi like other Priyadarshan movies.

Here's the last song-'Aami je tomar'.I would warn you that some of you could lose your appetite or get horrifying nightmares after watching this one-

Movie Review-Dhamaal

I watched Dhamaal quite a while ago but felt lazy or perhaps exams intervened and I couldn't write a review of the movie.So,here's a delayed review of the movie Dhamaal.

Good comedies are rare these days.But Dhamaal is one of the rare good comedies.The film is well made and the cast has done a great job.The quality of humor is very good and the film is a perfect entertainer.

Javed Jaffery needs a special mention for his acting skills.He has done a marvelous job in the movie.I'll give him 10/10 for his performance.His is damn funny in the movie.

The only weak point in the movie is its beginning which has too frequent songs.The rest of the movie is a class apart.I found myself laughing out loud and couldn't control my laughter in a couple of scenes.

The movie has been made for all kinds of people.This great entertainer is a must watch.You should buy a DVD if its not playing at a cinema near you.

I know it sounds bizarre and a bit difficult to believe but Kimi Raikkonen is the 2007 Formula 1 world champion.He won the Brazilian Grand Prix and got some support from Hamilton and Massa to be the world champion.


The race is extremely interesting and here's how the drivers ended the season in terms of championship points-

1.Kimi Raikkonen-110 points
2.Lewis Hamilton-109 points
3.Fernando Alonso-109 points

It was really close.The situation looked like it was scripted in Raikkonen's favor.Felipe Massa did a great job to hold on to 2nd position.I had mentioned in an earlier post that Hamilton had a terrible start but he did well to finish 6th.The rookie has had a great season and has a great future ahead.

Obviously Ferrari are the constructors champions with 204 points and will the the benefits for the next season.This means that they will be getting their cars numbered as 1 and 2.They also will have the privilege of having their pit garage closest to the entry or the exit of the pitlane.

For now,Kimi Raikkonen is the world champion but there are some matters with the BMW cars which need to be looked into.In case the drivers are disqualified,Lewis Hamilton will be the world champion and it will be really sad for Kimi.

PS-Kimi Raikkonen is now officially the world champion.FIA has rejected McLaren plea against the decision to spare the cars blamed for fuel inconsistency.

Brazilian GP:Lewis Blows Up The Start

Here's a post made a on the Brazilian Grand Prix 2007,few laps into the race.Lewis Hamilton didn't have a great start and ended up at 8th position at the end of first lap.Massa,Raikkonen and Alonso had a perfect start to the race.At the end of the 3rd lap Lewis Hamilton managed to get back 7th position.The start of the race was filled with incidents.Mika Hakkinen was there to witness the race.In the current situation,if the positions don't change,Kimi Raikkonen can easily be the world champion.Lewis Hamilton seemed to have a drive shaft failure on the 8th lap as a result of which Hamilton found himself at 18th position.This has almost ruined the race for Hamilton.But his car was back to normal after some moments on anxiety.Hamilton was having problems with shifting and he was working frantically to shift gears.Now,it may be safe to say that it's going to be either Kimi Raikkonen or Fernando Alonso.

Felipe Massa was light on fuel and had to pit on the 20th lap.He rejoined at 3rd position.Kimi Raikkonen had a pitstop on the 21st and Fernando Alonso on the 22nd lap.

I had problems publishing this post as every time I tried to do so,Lewis Hamilton would overtake someone and someone would enter the pits.

Massa Grabs Pole At Home

Felipe Massa just clinched pole position at the Brazilian Grand Prix 2007,the last race of the season.Lewis Hamilton qualified behind him at 2nd position and has to retain his position or simply finish on the podium to win the drivers championship title.But of he finishes third,Alonso mas to finish 2nd or worse.Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso will start on the 2nd row and will attempt to win the race to win the championship.The race is going to be a really interesting one and I'm looking forward to Ferrari victory.

Unfortunately,I will not be the first person to tell you the race results as I won't be able to make a post at night.In fact I have a test at school so I'll make a delayed post for everyone who would hibernate for 12 hours or those who would stay away from their Television sets and Computers for about 12 hours.

India proved yet again that they are the Twenty20 world champions.They convincingly defeated Australia at the CCI stadium by 7 wickets with 11 balls to spare.Here are the scores-

The scores tell the story and the match was always inclined towards India.The bowlers did an excellent job to restrict Australia to 166.Gautam Gambhir did a great job to give India a great start which helped them chase the decent total.He was adjudged the Man of the Match and won himself a Maruti Suzuki SX4.

VMC: A Special Teacher

Probability is probably the toughest topic in IIT JEE preparation. Luckily I have a great teacher to teach me the topic. Manmohan Gupta a.k.a Munna Bhaiya is teaching the topic to all Regular and ECC groups. He will be taking two classes on Probability.

I’ve already had one class and it was fantastic. Munna Bhaiya is a great teacher and an inspiring personality. He is the best maths teacher in VMC or perhaps the best one in New Delhi. He has the capability of making a difficult topic look easy. I’m looking forward to his next class which I’m sure will be great.

It’s really amazing to see how hard Sandeep Bhaiya (Mr. Sandeep Mehta) works to make a perfect schedule. The IIT JEE 2009 batch is having it’s Trigonometry classes. Vivek Bhaiya who is a great teacher as far as Trigonometry is teaching them. Thus Munna Bhaiya can find some time to teach the ECC groups.

With the Chemistry and Physics module 7 over and just a couple of topics remaining in Maths module 7,you should expect Test Series 7 in a few weeks.

IDEA NETWORK-THE WORST!!

I used to use Reliance till a while ago when I bought my new phone-Motorola L9. I’ll write the review of the phone in a few days. The dealer at HotSpot persuaded me to try Idea. This was the biggest mistake of my life. I’m totally fed up of Idea’s services. I’ve been using Idea for a few months and can’t stand it anymore. I really appreciate the patience of people who stick to Idea.

A few days ago, I was sitting in my room when my phone went out of coverage. This is normal with Idea and it usually gets a signal in a few seconds. But that time was different. I tried restarting my phone but it didn’t work. I had to wait for 30 minutes before my phone was back in coverage area.

Another fact that I hate about Idea is the GPRS and WAP connection which refuses to load many WAP sites and is charged at Rs0.02 per KB which is too much as compared to Airtel’s 1.5p/KB. This means that using applications like Cellity Free SMS is impractical on IDEA.

Have you ever tried calling an Idea phone when it is switched off? The message is- “The Idea you are trying to call is either switched off or out of service area”. They don’t even get to know whether the subscriber has switched off his phone or is out of service area. This is not what a national mobile network should be like.

Another reason why Idea is the worst mobile network in the country is that they charge 26% taxes on top-ups.I recently topped up with Rs100 and received a talk-time of Rs74.Isn't is disgusting?What sort of top-up is that supposed to be.Reliance charges about 11.5% and Airtel prepaid about 12% but 26% is too much.Idea customers should have a national protest against this torture.

People in my family have tried all sorts of mobile networks. Airtel and Reliance are a class apart when compared to Idea. Vodafone is much better than Idea but ranks lower to Reliance and Airtel. My dad has even tried MTNL’s Trump connection and it is much better than Idea.

Overall, I would advise you to stay away from Idea even if you desperately need a mobile connection and have no other option. If I were asked to write a positive sponsored review on Idea for $50 I would never do that in public interest.

I have an advice for all current Idea users. Throw away your SIM card immediately and switch to Airtel for GSM and Reliance if you want to use CDMA.

AKON LIVE IN CONCERT

Akon performed live in a concert in New Delhi yesterday.Guess what?I was there to watch him.I even have some pictures to show you.The concert was at 8:00pm at the NSIC exhibition grounds,Okhla.The gates were opened at 5:30pm and I reached there by 5:35.Then I had to wait for 150 long minutes before the start of the concert.Reliance Mobile had a stall over there and was conducting small quizzes and giving away prizes for the sake of publicity.I was quite far from the stage so,the pictures won't be great.I was also not allowed to take my camera.So I had to compromise picture quality by using my 2MP mobile camera which does not have a flash.This is what the stage looked like when I arrived-


Finally after 2 hours,Akon's DJ came to the stage and created an atmosphere for Akon's arrival.These pictures are the ones I took when Akon had just arrived.If you look carefully you'll be able to locate him.He was wearing a yellow jacket.He later took his jacket off and later took off and threw 3 T-shirts in the crowd.Actually,he wanted to sing Don't Matter topless like in the video.


I got a real treat when he came all the way behind where the barricade separating the 2 sections was located.He said-"Do these people represent a different section? Ah! I know,the ones in the front paid more.So if the security permits I would like all people at the back to come in the front.I specifically told them that I don't want 2 classes.I have just 1 audience."Then he tried to figure out a plan to let the people at the back come to the front.But unfortunately it couldn't be implemented as the audience didn't cooperate.Here are pictures of him when he was trying to do so.

After this the management had a tough time restricting people behind the barricade and preventing them from jumping over.I would rate the organizers and the security guards 0/10 for their work.

The songs which appealed to the crowd the most were-Smack That,Mr Lonely,I wanna Love You and Don't Matter.Akon sang the part he sang in 'The Sweet Escape' and made a sweet escape in 2 hours.
Overall,the concert was great.The only fact which was bad was that I had to wait 2.5 hours to watch a 2 hour long concert.
